LAST MONTH, MS. VONDRAN TOOK HER ALGEBRA CLASSES TO TOUR HOFFINGER'S INDUSTRIES IN HELENA.  STUDENTS TOURED THE 11 ACRE PLANT AND RECEIVED UP CLOSE DEMONSTRATIONS IN ABOVE GROUND SWIMMING POOL MANUFACTURING.  STUDENTS OBSERVED HOFFINGER EMPLOYEES MAKING VINYL PRODUCTION, SWIMMING POOL LINER CONSTRUCTION, INJECTION MOLDING- WHERE TINY PELLETS OF PLASTIC ARE MOLDED INTO PLASTIC MOLDS AND PARTS, FILTER PUMP CONSTRUCTION.  STUDENTS OBSERVED THE PAINT LINE, LADDER MAKING,  PACKAGING, MAINTENANCE, WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS, QUALITY CONTROL, AND ALL LEVELS OF MANAGEMENT.

PRESIDENT DOUG HOLLOWELL ALONG WITH PERSONAL MANAGER, LARRY DENSON, AND PLANT MANAGER, DAVID BARLETT AND OTHER STAFF MEMBERS MADE OUR BARTON 9TH GRADE FEEL VERY WELCOMED.  THEY ALSO SERVED COKE AND COOKIES TO OUR STUDENTS.  OTHER BARTON STAFF MEMBERS WHO HELPED WITH THE TOURS WERE MRS. KRISNER SMITH AND MS. TAMMIE MOORE.

THIS WAS AN EYE OPENING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL OF OUR STUDENTS IN THEIR FUTURE CAREER ENDEAVORS.  WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK HOFFINGER'S FOR THIS EXPERIENCE.
