January 22nd, the K-12 culinary food services and our cafeteria manager, Vicki Turner, hosted a presentation to several 6th and 7th graders on the importance of fruits and vegetables in their diet. The dietician, Candace Turner, was the presenter. Chef Tory Hogan prepared a few items for the students to sample and give feedback. Some of the items prepared were hummus, chicken salad, southwest lentils, carrots, broccoli and dill dressing. The students seemed to really enjoy the food tasting. This presentation was part of our Wellness Plan for our students.
