Fifth grade students at Barton Elementary School got a real life lesson on patriotism and freedom on September 13th from an honored guest that fought to defend it – Iraq War Veteran Curtis Rohrscheib! The students have been learning about Patriot Day, which marked the 16th Anniversary of the September 11th terrorist’s attacks, and Constitution Day which is Sunday, September 17th in their classes last week. Mr. Rohrscheib, whose son Grant is in the 5th grade, heard about what he was studying and volunteered his time to come and help teach the children even more. We are all very thankful to him for not only serving his country, but for serving as a role model for children in our school. Thank you Mr. Rohrscheib!
