It's that time again for Barton Bear Cub Basketball!!! This year will have some improvements with Barton High School head girls and boys coaches being able to work with the players during the school day within their PE or Activity time.
We are also adding a pre k and Kindergarten division this year!! The divisions are as follows: pre k and Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. Both of these divisions will play on a 8’ goal. The 3rd and 4th grade division along with the 5th and 6th grade division will be playing on a 10’ goal. All divisions will play with a size 6 ball which is referred to as a girls ball except the pre k and Kindergarten division; they will play with a size 5 ball. Our school district believes this league will play an integral role in the development of our future basketball players. We would love to have as many teams as possible. Games will be played throughout the week. We will have an end of the year tournament also where trophies will be awarded to the winning teams. We will pass out the schedule of games and teams after tryouts which will be conducted at school. All we ask is that you have your child at their game at least 20 minutes before their scheduled start time.
Who is this for: Any student in pre K-6th grade in Barton School District
When: Signups will run through November 14th, 2025. Going to try to start games the week of Dec 8th. We will send schedules home when we know how many teams we have per division.
