Chicks

Kindergarteners got chicken eggs from Mr. Tommy Ray to incubate. The incubator helps the eggs hatch without their mom. Students used a special light to look inside the eggs and observe the growing stages.  The eggs hatched in 21 days. Everyone was so eggcited!!!!!!!!!!   The baby chicks stayed in the incubator until their feathers dried.  Students transferred them to a brooding box with a light, food and water.

"We love having the chicks in our room.  This was an amazing experience for our students as well as the teachers.  The baby chickens will finally leave our room and have a happy home on the farm."

Thank you Mr. Tommy Ray for this experience!
