C19

All students in kindergarten through the 12th grade, regardless of vaccination status,  are required to wear a mask or face covering (a) while attending school or a school function in any school building, facility or other area of a school campus, and (b) when riding in school-provided transportation. All masks and face coverings must cover the nose and mouth of the student. This applies to students waiting outside school buildings before and after school, and to students on buses.

The CDC and AAP recommend that children return to in-person education where it is safe to do so, and the District recognizes the importance of in-person learning. As a result, the District recommends and will assume that all parents want their children to wear masks while in school to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and to allow in-person learning to continue for the 2021-2022 school year. This recommendation is not mandatory, and each parent has a choice to opt their student out of wearing a mask while at school. The Opt-out form will be available online, at open house, and in the principals’ offices. Students will be required to wear a facing covering until the opt-out form has been turned into the appropriate office.  Faculty/staff will be required to wear a facing covering until the Faculty/Staff Opt-Out Form has been completed and returned to the District Nurse, Marla Bond (District POC).
