As ordered by the Department of Education, all public schools, including Barton, will remain closed until Monday, April 20th. All students are to:
1. Complete AMI Packets days 6-10
2. Return AMI Packets days 1-10 from Monday, April 6th- Wednesday April 8th, to the elementary or high school buildings
3. Pick up AMI Packets days 11-19 from Monday, April 6th- Wednesday April 8th, in the elementary or high school buildings.
4. AMI packet pickup and drop off will be from 8:00-11:30 and 12:30-3:00 Monday, April 6th to Wednesday, April 8th.

7. AMI Packet days 11-19 will be due April 20th due to school being out on April 13th as scheduled.
8. Teachers will be available for AMI packet assistance Monday-Friday 8:00-11:30 and 12:30-3:00.
Thank you to the majority of parents for picking up AMI packets yesterday and for your cooperation. If you have not picked up your AMI packet, they are available for pick up from 8:00 to 11:30 and 12:30 to 3:00. Please make arrangements to pick up the AMI packets. Teachers are available for help via school phone and school email. If you can not get in touch with your teacher, call the building office and leave your name and phone number and they will make sure the teacher calls you back.
As a reminder, please come pick up AMI packets today between 8:00-11:30 or 12:30-3:00. High school packets are in the high school seminar room. Elementary parents go by the teacher's classroom to pick up AMI packets.

Barton School District will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16th through Friday, March 20th due to COVID-19. School will be closed Monday, March 23rd through Friday, March 27th for Spring Break. PARENTS MUST COME TO THE SCHOOL TO PICK UP AMI PACKETS BETWEEN 8:00-11:30 or 12:30-3:00. Packets can be picked up any day of this week. Teachers will be available daily from 8:00 to 3:00 by school phone or school email to assist students with AMI work. Teachers will have lunch and planning period from 11:30 to 12:30 daily. Teachers are to report to work daily at 7:45. As of now, AMI work must be completed and returned on Monday, March 30th. We will continue to monitor COVID-19 and release updates as needed.
Baseball and softball games scheduled for today, 3/13/20, have been canceled. AAA has suspended all spring sports from March 15th through March 30th.
The Sr and Jr high softball games scheduled for today against Nettleton and Palestine have been cancelled.
Barton Lexa School District Parent/Teacher Conferences will be Thursday, March 12, from 2:30 to 7:00 in the Kirkland Facility. Students will dismiss at 2:00 on March 12th.

Barton Band and Choir are hosting an All-You-Eat Spaghetti dinner on Tuesday, February 18th, in the Kirkland Facility from 5:30 to 7:30.Tickets are $10.00 each. Tickets can be found with any Choir or Band student. You are also welcome to just show up and pay at the door. There will be some small performances by soloists, duetists, and other small groups. The students will also be acting as the servers for the supper, so tips are accepted. Thank you for supporting Barton Band & Choir!
